...those days weren’t perfect, but they were real. The stillness of a Saturday morning and the chaos of a family in motion. We used disposable film and old video cameras to capture these fleeting moments, but they provided a tangible memory for us to look back on.

The only way to capture the truth of those everyday moments that you want to remember forever, is to LIVE them. Somewhere along the way, we started performing for the camera instead of living in front of it.

What is Documentary Photography?

If you’re used to the "smile and look at the camera" style of photography, this is going to feel a little different. In fact, it’s going to feel like a deep breath.
The goal is to capture the authentic rhythm of your family without the need for excessive posing or prompts. I'll arrive to your home or birth space to witness to your most meaningful moments, giving you a modest amount of direction and encouraging the freedom to simply be yourself.
